Why this role is interesting

This is a national opportunity to lead the go-to-market strategy for a premium, European-crafted timber system, with primary focus on NSW, VIC and QLD, and active development of ACT and SA. The role combines strategy and execution: building the specification channel from the ground up, educating architects and designers on the product, and working closely with state BD teams to convert interest into confirmed projects. You'll stay involved through to delivery, acting as the key point of contact between the business, the design community, and the European manufacturing partner. Key Responsibilities • Map and prioritise target accounts across NSW, VIC and QLD, expanding into ACT and SA over time. • Deliver product education sessions to specification partners and the internal BDM team, covering format, grade, colour and finish options. • Consult directly with architects and designers to develop bespoke palettes matched to individual project intent. • Work with the Director and European manufacturing partner on product development, range evolution and customisation capability. • Manage timelines, lead times and delivery logistics once a project is confirmed, given the custom, made-to-order nature of the product. • Own quoting and pricing on custom specifications, and maintain the sample library and showroom presentation. • Maintain pipeline and account activity in Salesforce, delivering monthly reporting on pipeline, conversion, revenue and fulfilment. Skills & Experience • Proven experience in specification sales or business development within premium architectural, building, or interior products. • Strong existing relationships across the architecture and design community, or a demonstrated ability to build them from the ground up. • Comfortable owning a full sales cycle on high-value, custom projects, from prospecting through to fulfilment. • Working knowledge of joinery design and timber detailing, including reading technical drawings and understanding custom production processes and lead times. • Commercially astute and highly organised, with strong CRM and reporting discipline and willingness to travel regularly.
