Role summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior FF&E Designer to join a highly regarded design studio specializing in luxury hospitality projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead FF&E design efforts from concept through installation while contributing to sophisticated, design-driven environments that emphasize craftsmanship, materiality, and exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities • Lead FF&E design and delivery for high-end hospitality projects from concept development through installation. • Develop and articulate strong design concepts through presentations, material palettes, mood boards, and specification packages. • Source, specify, and document furniture, lighting, textiles, finishes, and decorative elements. • Collaborate closely with interior design teams, procurement consultants, vendors, and fabricators to ensure seamless project execution. • Develop custom furniture designs and oversee fabrication processes with manufacturers and specialty suppliers. • Manage FF&E schedules, budgets, specifications, control books, and project documentation. • Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor communication, order tracking, and delivery management. • Participate in project styling and final installation phases to ensure design intent is fully realized. • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and consultants while contributing to the ongoing development of the studio’s materials and resources library. • Support project teams in maintaining quality, accuracy, and consistency across all deliverables. Skills & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field. • 8+ years of dedicated FF&E experience with a strong focus on luxury hospitality projects. • Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously. • Extensive knowledge of FF&E sourcing, specifications, furniture development, materials, textiles, and finishes. • Experience coordinating procurement activities and collaborating with procurement consultants and vendors. • Strong presentation, documentation, and material storytelling skills. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam. • Experience with Rhino and DesignSpec is a plus. • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to design excellence. • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced studio environment.
