Role summary
This is a rare opportunity to join one of Australia's leading architecture and design studios in a pivotal role driving innovation across the practice. If you're passionate about computational design, automation and emerging technology, you'll have the freedom to influence how some of the country's most exciting projects are designed and delivered. Working closely with design leaders and technology specialists, you'll champion the use of Rhino, Grasshopper and Python, helping project teams unlock smarter workflows, improve collaboration and push the boundaries of digital design. You'll also play a key role in shaping future technology strategies, mentoring teams and introducing new tools that enhance project delivery. Key responsibilities • Lead the practice-wide adoption and development of Rhino, Grasshopper and Python workflows. • Drive computational design, automation and digital innovation across multidisciplinary project teams. • Develop and implement best practice workflows, including Rhino.Inside.Revit integration. • Deliver training, mentoring and technical support to architects and designers. • Collaborate with BIM and Design Technology specialists to continually improve digital delivery. • Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies, workflows and AI-driven tools that improve efficiency and creativity. • Influence the future direction of design technology across a nationally recognised practice. Skills and experience • Advanced expertise in Rhino, Grasshopper and Python. • Strong understanding of Revit and BIM workflows within architectural practice. • Proven experience delivering projects using computational design and digital modelling tools. • Passionate about automation, innovation and solving complex design challenges. • A confident communicator who enjoys mentoring others and sharing knowledge. • Naturally curious, proactive and excited by the future of architecture and technology. • Experience with tools such as Enscape, dRofus or AI design platforms will be highly regarded.
