Ceramic in architectural contexts refers to thermal insulating coatings like MANTI Ceramic, water-based, solvent-free plasters containing vacuum ceramic microspheres or hollow glass spheres for heat protection. These form breathable, vapor-permeable, water-repellent surface layers applicable indoors and outdoors on substrates such as concrete, brick, and plaster.
Used as thin-layer heat-protective plasters on facades and walls in residential complexes, collective housing, and public buildings to reduce thermal bridges, enhance solar radiation reflection, and lower heating and cooling costs. Provides a smooth, crack-free white matt finish with high adhesion, suitable over painted stucco and concrete, often in 2-6 mm layers.
EPDs quantify embodied carbon from production, with medium and high-density variants showing impacts from ceramic spheres and binders; thin application minimizes material use but requires multiple coats. Upstream energy for microsphere manufacturing contributes to GWP, favoring use where thermal performance offsets operational emissions.
