Role summary
Our client is looking for a Sydney-based Account Manager to manage and grow their existing portfolio of builders, main contractors, and specialised commercial subcontractors (fit-out, ceiling, and wall specialists). In this role, you will act as a key commercial partner, educating contractors on interior finishes and acoustic ranges, assisting with upcoming project tenders, scheduling, and value-engineering opportunities to secure the contract. Arising from consistent year-on-year growth, you will join an active and collaborative sales team focused on project conversion, contract procurement, and achieving volume targets. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the commercial interior fit-out pipeline, experience handling large-scale, high-value project tenders, and a passion for building robust site and office-level relationships. Key Responsibilities • Grow and manage your project sales pipeline, tracking commercial interior fit-outs from early pricing and tender phases through to contractor procurement and site installation. • Maintain and develop long-lasting relationships with estimators, commercial project managers, contract administrators, and specialised subcontractors. • Stay ahead of commercial construction market trends and upcoming developments to anticipate client supply timelines. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ranges, structural performance, fire ratings, and acoustic certifications to effectively handle technical compliance and builder product substitutions. Skills and Experience • Prior experience in a similar Account Manager, BDM, or Project Sales role, ideally within commercial interior finishes, wall linings, acoustic solutions, or commercial furnishings. • Proven ability to nurture and develop relationships with estimators and procurement teams to ensure products are successfully locked into the final builder contract. • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously on-site/on the road and collaboratively within the team. • Strong commercial acumen and communication skills, with a professional presentation suitable for both corporate builder headquarters and active site visits. • Current NSW Driver's licence.
