This opportunity is ideal for an experienced interior design project manager with 6+ years of experience who enjoys leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex projects, and delivering exceptional hospitality and residential interiors from concept through installation. You'll collaborate with design directors, principals, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients while overseeing projects for leading hotels, resorts, restaurants, developers, and luxury residential clients. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys balancing creative design with technical leadership, project management, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities • Lead interior design projects from concept through design development, construction documentation, construction administration, installation, and project closeout. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations. • Coordinate project milestones, deliverables, and team responsibilities throughout all project phases. • Prepare, review, and oversee coordinated construction documentation and specification packages. • Ensure design intent is maintained throughout documentation and construction. • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and project stakeholders. • Review construction documents, RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, and site instructions. • Conduct site visits, construction meetings, punch walks, and quality control reviews. • Lead value engineering efforts while protecting the project's design vision. • Establish and maintain drawing standards, project documentation, and QA/QC procedures. • Manage project budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation. • Serve as the primary client contact throughout design and construction phases. • Mentor junior and intermediate designers while supporting team development. • Build long-term relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and industry partners. Qualifications • Interior Design degree or diploma (or equivalent) required. • Minimum 6 years of professional interior design project management experience. • Hospitality and multi-unit residential project experience required. • Experience leading projects through Concept Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Installation, and Closeout. • Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, millwork, and consultant coordination. • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and multiple concurrent projects. • Proven client-facing leadership and communication skills. • Experience mentoring and leading design teams. • Strong QA/QC and construction documentation experience. • Knowledge of IBC, ADA, and applicable building codes. • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. • SketchUp experience is beneficial. • Professional credentials such as NCIDQ, PMP, LEED, or similar certifications are a plus. • Portfolio demonstrating hospitality and large-scale interior design projects required.
