Role summary
We are seeking an AI / BIM Specialist to join an innovative architecture and interior design studio in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a design technology professional who is passionate about improving how teams design, document, and collaborate through emerging technologies. Working closely with design leadership and project teams, you will help shape the integration of AI-assisted workflows, BIM standards, and digital tools across a wide range of architecture and interior design projects. This position offers the opportunity to influence firmwide innovation while providing hands-on support, training, and implementation of next-generation design technologies. Role and Responsibilities • Serve as a firmwide resource for AI and BIM workflows across architecture and interior design projects. • Lead the implementation of AI-powered tools and workflow automation initiatives. • Support and advance the use of Revit-based AI tools for visualization, design exploration, and project delivery. • Develop and maintain BIM standards, best practices, and project workflows. • Partner with project teams to improve modeling efficiency, coordination, and documentation quality. • Provide training, coaching, and technical support to staff across varying experience levels. • Collaborate with design and operations leadership to evaluate and implement emerging technologies. • Research, test, and pilot new digital tools that support innovation and project performance. • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and technology-focused training programs. Experience and Qualifications • 6–12 years of experience within architecture, interior design, or related AEC environments. • Advanced knowledge of Revit and BIM project delivery workflows. • Experience implementing or utilizing AI tools within design, documentation, or project delivery processes. • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Veras, or similar AI-enabled design technologies. • Strong understanding of architectural and interior design project workflows from concept through construction. • Experience developing standards, workflows, training materials, or technical guidance. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions. • Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams and leadership. • Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field preferred. • Licensure or professional certification preferred but not required.
