Practice Manager - Architect

A newly created senior leadership role within a thriving mid-sized practice. Work closely with the Director to consolidate recent growth and shape the business into the future. The ideal person will have an architectural background (including ideally multi residential experience) and enjoy all aspects of architectural practice. Reporting to the Director and collaborating closely with other senior leaders the right candidate will offer: Exceptional client and team management skills Excellent communication skills A calm inclusive approach to leadership Technical skills and commercial acumen Key Responsibilities • Support the Director in the growth of the practice • Ensure smooth and efficient processes and the development of the team and its culture • Ensure high quality client service • Mentor staff to support personal and professional growth and improvement • Oversee project allocations and resource planning against programmes and fees • Mentoring and staff check ins • Team reviews • Active role in recruitment – managing the interviews • Ensure high standards of record keeping • Project reviews, provide advice on key construction details/ issues • Site advice to project leaders as needed • Represent the company at meetings and taking calls as needed • Be the ‘go to’ when the Director is unavailable. • Client contract and variation reviews in collaboration with project leaders • Draft fee and variation letters • Support role in marketing, bids/ tenders Skills and Experience • Registered architect with previous substantial experience gained in Sydney • Demonstrated experience across all stages of projects and practice management • Seek to constantly improve the studios reputation for client service and project delivery • Positive mindset and outstanding communication skills Benefits and culture • Flexible working hours • Dynamic, collaborative team • Convenient location close to transport connections
