Role summary
We are seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager to join an internationally recognized architecture and design practice in Miami. This is a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-profile luxury residential renovation project while playing a key role in establishing and growing the firm's presence in South Florida. The ideal candidate is a technically strong architect with extensive experience in project delivery, consultant coordination, and construction administration. This role is well-suited for an entrepreneurial professional who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to help shape a growing office. Role and Responsibilities • Lead project delivery from design development through construction administration. • Prepare, coordinate, and review architectural documentation and drawing packages. • Manage consultant coordination and multidisciplinary project teams. • Oversee construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, site observations, and punch lists. • Serve as the primary local representative for Miami-based projects. • Coordinate with ownership groups, condominium boards, contractors, and project stakeholders. • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and overall project progress. • Prepare client presentations, reports, and project updates. • Collaborate with design teams across multiple office locations. • Support business development efforts and help identify future project opportunities throughout Florida. • Contribute to the development of operational standards and processes as the Miami office grows. Experience and Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture. • 10+ years of professional architectural experience. • Strong experience in technical detailing, documentation, and construction administration. • Proven ability to manage projects through all phases of design and construction. • Experience with luxury residential, multifamily, hospitality, or mixed-use projects preferred. • Experience coordinating with condominium boards and multiple project stakeholders strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and project delivery processes. • Excellent communication, organizational, and client-facing skills. • Self-starter capable of working independently while collaborating across multiple offices. • Florida architectural registration or ability to obtain licensure preferred. • NCARB certification preferred. Software Requirements • Revit (required). • AutoCAD (required). • Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. • Rhino experience preferred but not required.
