Role summary
A Bid / Marketing opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's most respected and innovative architecture and design practices. With a truly global presence and an outstanding reputation for shaping the future of the built environment, this award-winning practice partners with some of the world's leading organisations to deliver transformative projects across workplace, hospitality, retail, residential, sport, culture and mixed-use sectors. This is far more than a traditional bids role. Sitting within a highly regarded marketing and business development team, you will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, helping to shape pursuit strategy, influence positioning and drive business growth. You'll be joining a collaborative, high-performing team that genuinely invests in its people, offering excellent long-term career progression, structured professional development, twice-yearly bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits, regular team events and an engaging studio culture with exceptionally low staff turnover. If you're looking for a role where your ideas are valued as much as your delivery, this is an outstanding opportunity to make a real impact. Responsibilities • Partner with senior leaders to develop winning pursuit strategies, positioning and client engagement plans. • Lead strategy sessions for new business opportunities, helping define clear win themes and points of differentiation. • Translate market intelligence, client insights and commercial drivers into compelling proposals and presentations. • Manage the end-to-end bid process from qualification through to submission across multiple concurrent pursuits. • Produce high-quality proposals, presentations and marketing collateral that align with brand standards. • Support wider business development initiatives through targeted campaigns, events, research and thought leadership. • Work collaboratively with technical teams to develop persuasive content and visual communications. • Contribute to knowledge management, marketing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. • Embrace emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to improve marketing effectiveness and pursuit delivery. • Maintain marketing resources, collateral and information systems while supporting broader team initiatives. Requirements • Proven bids and marketing experience within architecture, design, engineering or professional services (AEC experience highly advantageous). • Proven experience leading strategic pursuits and influencing business development conversations with senior stakeholders. • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to develop compelling win strategies and client-focused messaging. • Demonstrable success improving bid quality, pursuit strategy and win rates. • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. • Strong graphic design capabilities with advanced experience producing high-impact proposals and presentations. • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment. • Confident collaborating with senior leadership and multidisciplinary project teams. • Proactive, commercially minded and naturally curious, with an interest in AI and emerging technologies. • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign is essential. • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator, alongside Microsoft Office. Experience with Figma or Miro would be beneficial. • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Business or a related discipline is preferred.
